At 19,340 feet, Mt. Kilimanjaro is the highest free standing mountain in the world, the highest in Africa and one of the Seven Summits, a goal for many explorers and mountain climbers. For those adventurers who are not experienced in high altitude climbs, Kilimanjaro is the perfect place to start. While it does require endurance and stamina to summit to Uhuru Peak, the climb requires no technical skills or equipment. One of the most important thing a climber needs is the desire to reach the top.
